The Phillies have won the World Series of 2008!

The baseball season was very exciting to us Philly people. The season was long but bountiful with a win for the World Series of 2008.

Here are pictures of our own Phanatic, the Phillies mascot from the parade that we had for the baseball team. And another of a statue of him that sits in the lobby of the baseball field Citizens Bank Field.

A bright ending to a rainy day

Where we live, the weather had no mercy on us. I guess we needed something after these hot,humid days that we had.
I happened to look out the door and this is what I saw. There was a double one but I caught the picture just before it disappeared.

Atlantic City, NJ mini vacation

My daughter and I went down Atlantic City, NJ to catch a show one night and the next day we walked the boardwalk and also went to beach.

New York, New York

A trip into New York for an interview my daughter traveled by one "Penn Station",(rail station) in New York city.

Penn Station is owned by Amtrak and it is the busiest Amtrak station in the United States.

A trip down South Philly

My daughter and I decided to take a ride down South Philly in PA to go get cheese steaks from the best cheese steak place around. Geno's Steaks. Here is a picture from that night.

Brand new birds

About a week ago I seen a bird nest on top of our porch. And now we have brand new birds. There are 4 altogether. But now I believe there are only 2 left. Probably they flew the nest. You can see that baby birds parents are still looking after them.

Father's Day

My daughter took out my husband at a BBQ place. Yum he does like his BBQ and Coke. Here's some old time pieces of Coke. But we of course they don't serve Coke but Pepsi. Just thought this funny.

Saw this dragonfly on my kitchen window on the screen when coming in from grocery shopping. Thought it was unusual and shocking ;)Never saw one this close before.

Indiana Jones look

These pics were taken when we were looking at the Indiana Jones stuff from his new movie.
I was trying to have the stance as Indy but for some reason I was told to wear the shades. Not a very good look. I guess I kind of look like Indy LOL!

Mother's Day photos

My husband took me out for a bite to eat and drink for Mother's Day. While we were waiting for our food to come out I saw this on the wall. It is actually wallpaper.

Not a whole lot has been happening. My son and I cleaned out our turtle, Gidget's tank out. And we found that she had some funny looking poses. LOL! here is one where she is hanging off her hide away.

I snapped these with my cell phone. One day my husband and I were driving down I95 and spotted my favorite drink. Well you know I had to get a picture. LOL!

We were out to dinner at Outback. Look what I saw when I went to the bathroom. I didn't know they named a bathroom after me ;)

Our Sammy

Here is one of my special friends. Her name is Samantha, Sammy for short. Sammy was with us for many of years. Brought me many happy days. She always knew how to cheer me up, even when she knew when there was something wrong.

My daughter came home from a conference at Atlantic City,NJ. I didn't get a pic of her wheeling her suitcase down the street, but I did get what she brought home. She stayed at the Trump Tai Mahal.

The craziest picture of our Gidget

We have a pet turtle named Gidget. She hangs around her digs and seems to like it. One day I happened to look and she climbed underneath her food bowl and stayed like that all night. LOL!

The Sunshine Cafe

This is a place that we stopped at to get something to eat on the way to MA. We were driving all night and just wanted breakfast. This was the first place my husband saw. Not a bad place at all.

Fire Pole

My husband and I took vacation in Massachusetts in the summer of '07'. We stayed in Plymouth. As we went out to do some sight seeing I noticed that there were fire poles at every fire alarm. They also get lit at night. I also found one when we were visiting Boston. Being that I'm a fireman's daughter I thought this interesting.

Star Wars Mailbox

I heard a lot of hype when the Star Wars movies came out. And found that the post office was promoting their Star Wars stamp. And with that came the mailboxes that the postal service had done.

I found one in Charleston, South Carolina
